Implementation / Product Delivery

Implementation Manager

Based: Leamington Spa with UK travel to client sites

To apply for the role please email your CV and a brief covering letter.

Working within the implementation delivery department of Focus Business Solutions, the Implementation Manager plays a key part in maintaining excellent and productive client relationships.

You will be managing a Focus implementation team to deliver large projects to well-established Blue chip organisations within the financial services sector.

This is not an ‘admin’ management role but one which requires you to have a pro-active approach to problem solving, a sense of ownership / responsibility second to none and an ability to make productive relationships quickly.

You therefore need a proven understanding of the development lifecycle and an ability to work closely with analysis, development and QA staff to deliver quality solutions on time and budget.

A technical development background is essential – ideally within a Java / .Net frameworks client / server background.

Whilst Financial Services Life and Pensions experience is desirable, it is more important to have an overall ‘rounded’ set of skills and experience, a passion for doing a fantastic job and the confidence and enthusiasm to see it through to a successful conclusion.

To apply for the role please email your CV and a brief covering letter.

Product Ownership / Product Management

Providing the product vision, you will own the shape and scope of change, including business requirements, through the product lifecycle.

As Product Consultant, you will liaise with the Programme Manager to ensure delivery is in line with the release plan.

You will be the product owner, leading scrum teams, owning and managing the backlog to ensure prioritisation of work is aligned to the business strategy and priority.

You will also liaise with clients and key stakeholders to validate requirements and solutions meet their business needs and are aligned to the product strategy, ensuring appropriate escalation where this is not achieved or does not look like it will be achieved.

To apply for the role please email your CV and a brief covering letter.

Development / Software Engineering

The Senior Developer will work within the Software Delivery team to help develop product and bespoke client changes, including integrations to third-party systems and configuration changes required by client implementations.

The majority of your time will be spent doing development and work and technical design, working to an agile development methodology based on SCRUM.

You will also be expected to work closely with all members of the team (both business and technical) to design, validate and deliver stable, scalable and quality software that meets the requirements of the business team.

Dependent on your experience and the nature of the work, you might also be appointed as the Technical Authority for specific projects.

To apply for the role please email your CV and a brief covering letter.

The Web / UI Developer is part of the product / implementation development team but will also work with our new Digital area.

With strong CSS and JS (especially jQuery) knowledge, as well as a passion for semantic HTML, you will play a key role in shaping the customer's user experience through designing and building engaging and intuitive UI.

They will be tasked with styling, branding and adapting packaged software for delivery to customers as well as developing new 'single page applications' (SPAs) to increase the breadth of solutions we offer.

Our UI developers are currently working with HTML5 + Twitter Bootstrap as well as Aurelia and Angular.

To apply for the role please email your CV and a brief covering letter.

The Graduate Developer will work within the Software Delivery team to help develop product and bespoke client changes, including integrations to third-party systems and configuration changes required by client implementations.

The majority of your time will be spent doing development work, working to an agile development methodology based on SCRUM.

As part of one of our SCRUM teams, you will work collaboratively with other disciplines and have the chance to grow and flex your role.

Quality Assurance (QA) / Testing

The Test Analyst will have responsibility over testing within the product / implementation test team.
