Business Analysis

Business Analyst

Based: Leamington Spa with potential UK travel to client sites

The ‘Business Analyst’ reporting to the Business Architect, will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, expressing these as business scenarios and user stories, preparation of documentation and specifications and undertaking detailed analysis tasks such as data mapping.

Where assigned the ‘Business Analyst’ will also act as product owner, liaising with the business owner and clients to validate that solutions delivered meet their requirements, ensuring appropriate escalation where this is not achieved or does not look like it will be achieved.

Solving design issues and challenges is an important part of the role and the role holder will be expected to identify root causes, solution options and implications, working with both business and technical colleagues.

Development / Software Engineering

The Senior Developer will work within the Software Delivery team to help develop product and bespoke client changes, including integrations to third-party systems and configuration changes required by client implementations.

The majority of your time will be spent doing development and work and technical design, working to an agile development methodology based on SCRUM.

You will also be expected to work closely with all members of the team (both business and technical) to design, validate and deliver stable, scalable and quality software that meets the requirements of the business team.

Dependent on your experience and the nature of the work, you might also be appointed as the Technical Authority for specific projects.

As a Web Application Developer, you will work within the Software Delivery team to help design and develop both our product set and bespoke changes for our customers. You will also work with our new Digital area.

With strong CSS and JS (especially jQuery and JavaScript UI framework) knowledge, as well as a passion for semantic HTML, you will play a key role in shaping the customer's user experience through designing and building engaging and intuitive UI.

You will help us define and develop new and existing 'single page applications' (SPAs) to increase the breadth of solutions we offer, as well as styling, branding and adapting packaged software for delivery to customers.

Our UI developers are currently working with HTML5 + Twitter Bootstrap as well as Aurelia and Angular.

Customer Service / Support

Operating within Customer Services, the Customer Service Analyst will be part of a growing team dedicated to support services for Focus deployed software.

Engaging the customer, understanding the critical business objectives & delivering effective solutions which help them achieve their objectives.

The role is customer facing and will involve incident/problem investigation, diagnosis and resolution.

Strong communication and the ability to demonstrate sound analytical and technical skills, coupled with excellent reporting skills and the ability to effectively manage customers’ expectations and changing priorities.

The Customer Service Analyst’s main function is interpreting the customer’s incidents/problems, gathering sufficient evidence to enable swift investigation and assist in implementation of resolution.
