release date: 09/09/2010
Focus Solutions, the leading provider of multi-channel distribution software to the global financial services industry is pleased to announce that it has achieved 12 ‘triple p’ ratings from the F&TRC, for its focus:360° product, in their 2010 e-Excellence financial planning tools study.
Focus was awarded the highest rating for 12 of its financial planning tools in the F&TRC’s recent study, with a further 14 achieving ‘pp+’, the grading just down from the top mark. The study which covered tools across the areas of At Retirement, Growing Pensions, Investment and Protection, was an independent assessment by an adviser panel, co-ordinated by the F&TRC, based on how well the tools most closely matched distributors’ requirements.
Commenting on the results, Martin McKenna, Lead Business Consultant at Focus Solutions, said “We are delighted with how well the product has done across all areas of this study and it clearly demonstrates the years of research and development that we have put into focus:360°. When designing the solution we have always kept the requirements of distribution firms at the heart of the product, so it is great to get this assessment from the F&TRC through a panel of independent advisers.”
Ian McKenna, Director of the F&TRC added “An increased number of software suppliers are developing financial planning tools to help advisers and their clients. We’ve extended our ratings to include these services to help advisers understand the quality of the offerings available in the market. Focus has achieved one of the highest sets of scores overall; a creditable performance which I’m sure many of their competitors will aspire to.”
