US patent granted for focus:technology software

Focus Solutions Group plc (AIM:FSG), a leading provider of proven enterprise solutions to the financial services market, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for electronic forms and data verification.

The patent covers the Group’s innovative suite of highly flexible development tools, focus:technology, (previously known as goal:technology) which underpin all of the Group’s focus:360° products.  The software enables the rapid creation of web based user interfaces that can capture, validate and report data for financial services organisations. Through achieving this US patent, the Group is clearly demonstrating and protecting its IPR in relation to electronic form creation and data verification.

To secure the US patent the Group had to prove that its technology was original, innovative and works. The patent is valid until June 24th 2024. This patent award follows the award of the UK patent (GB 2389499) for electronic forms and data verification which was granted in 2005.
