What makes a good provider extranet?
The intermediated channel has historically been the most important distribution channel for providers, typically accounting for a high percentage of all business received. Over the years providers have developed sophisticated extranet services to support the needs of this critical channel, constantly evolving them to meet the ever changing demands of advisers.
This research paper seeks to draw together the findings from consultancy projects we have conducted with advisers to find out what makes a good provider extranet. In addition it will also detail the common frustrations providers have shared with us on their existing systems. It concludes by exploring what providers should be considering in the future for their extranet solutions as the retail distribution landscape continues to evolve.
